The Glendale College women's soccer team returned home on Friday evening for a conference matchup against Antelope Valley College, battling hard in a 6–0 defeat. Despite the final scoreline, the Vaqueros continued to show effort, composure, and moments of improvement as the team works through a challenging stretch of the season.
Goalkeeper Liliana Reynoso remained a key figure for Glendale, recording seven saves while facing consistent pressure throughout the match. Her leadership and poise in goal helped keep the Vaqueros organized defensively as she played the full 90 minutes once again.
Glendale generated several strong scoring opportunities, finishing with five shots on goal, highlighted by efforts from Andrea Garnica, Angie Garcia, Katherine Avizuris Aguirre, and Bella Herrera, who each tested the opposing goalkeeper. Garnica led the offensive push with two shots on target, while Herrera also displayed determination on both ends of the field before receiving a late yellow card in a physical second half.
In the midfield, Michelle Saris and Natalie Ramirez provided consistent ball movement and coverage, while defenders Patile Hovaghimian and Nayely Moreno anchored the back line against Antelope Valley's quick attacks.
While the Vaqueros were unable to find the back of the net, the team's effort and communication showed continued progress as they prepare for the final stretch of the conference season.
