The Glendale Vaqueros fell 87–74 to Bakersfield on Wednesday night at home after a competitive first half. Glendale trailed just 34–29 at the break, but the Renegades pulled away with a 53-point second half.
Brandon Blair led the Vaqueros with 17 points, nine rebounds, and six assists, filling the stat sheet with an all-around performance. Omree Bentov also scored 17 points while adding seven rebounds, five of them on the offensive glass, along with a steal and a block in 40 minutes of action.
Jacob Allen contributed 13 points, knocking down two three-pointers, and Myles Wainwright added nine points on efficient shooting. Off the bench, Hunter Smith chipped in eight points, hitting two shots from beyond the arc.
Glendale shot 46.9 percent from the field but struggled from three-point range (6-for-20), while Bakersfield's 50 percent shooting and 45 percent mark from deep proved to be the difference.
