Strong Second Half Lifts Vaqueros Past Desert, 75–68

The Glendale Vaqueros used a big second half to pull away from Desert and earn a 75–68 home win on December 9 at Glendale College. After trailing 31–29 at halftime, GCC erupted for 46 second-half points, turning the game with steady offense and clutch free-throw shooting.

Brandon Blair led the way for the Vaqueros with a standout performance, scoring a game-high 25 points and going a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line. He added three assists and provided a steady presence down the stretch. Omree Bentov recorded a strong double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds, while also contributing a block and a steal. Hunter Smith chipped in 10 points and nine rebounds, helping Glendale control the glass.

Armen Darakchyan added eight points and 11 rebounds, giving GCC another double-digit rebounding effort, while Myles Wainwright dished out four assists. As a team, Glendale shot 81% from the free-throw line and outscored Desert by 17 points in the second half, showcasing poise and balance in a key conference win.
