A late second half goal by sophomore Gianna Mor helped salvage the week for the GCC Women's Soccer Team as the Lady Vaqs beat L.A. Valley College 1-0 Friday Oct. 11. Glendale started the week of WSC South play with a 1-0 loss to Santa Monica Oct. 8.
The goal by Mor was scored in the second half against Valley at the 76:40 mark of the game on an assist by Bella Herrera. Goalkeeper Liliana Reynoso had four saves on the day as Glendale kept the pressure on the Monarch defense with 15 shots on goal.
GCC continues WS play this week with a 4 pm home game Tuesday Oct. 15 at Sartoris Field against Bakersfield College and play at West L.A. Friday Oct. 18 at 4 pm.
