Glendale Stays Unbeaten in Conference Play with Win vs. Santa Monica

The Glendale Vaqueros women's basketball team continued its dominant conference run with a 65–39 victory over Santa Monica on Wednesday night, at Glendale College. Glendale jumped out to an early lead and never let up, holding Santa Monica to just 11 points in the first half while improving to 3–0 in conference play.

Mariah Maestas led the Vaqueros offensively with 11 points, connecting on three three-pointers, while also adding 3 steals on the defensive end. Shadel Ffrench controlled the paint with 9 points and 6 rebounds in efficient minutes, and Sammy Velasquez filled the stat sheet with 6 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals, and 3 assists, helping set the tone defensively.

Off the bench, Aniah Bradley provided a big energy boost, finishing with 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals, while Leandra Nazarian knocked down two three-pointers on her way to 8 points. Kaitlin Johnson and Ashlee Medrano each added 8 and 7 points, respectively, as Glendale's depth once again played a key role.

The Vaqueros forced 22 turnovers, dominated the boards 36–26, and controlled the tempo from start to finish to secure another convincing home conference win.
