The Glendale Vaqueros took care of business, pulling away for a 54–38 win over Rio Hondo behind strong defense and control of the boards. Glendale used a big second and third quarter to create separation and never looked back.

Sammy Velasquez led the way with 13 points, hitting three threes and adding 4 assists. Shadel Ffrench was active all night inside, finishing with 8 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 steals, while Aniah Bradley added a solid all-around performance with 9 points and 10 rebounds.

The bench made a difference as well, with Ligia Gonzalez coming up big for 10 points and 10 rebounds. Glendale dominated the glass 56–36 and forced Rio Hondo into 24 turnovers, setting the tone defensively from start to finish.
