Glendale Falls Short at Moorpark, 50–43

The Glendale Vaqueros battled throughout but came up just short in a defensive showdown on the road, falling 50–43 to undefeated Moorpark. Glendale kept the game close through three quarters, trailing by just four points heading into the fourth, but Moorpark's late push sealed the result.

Shadel Ffrench was dominant, posting a 15-point, 15-rebound double-double, adding four blocks and showcasing her presence on both ends. Kaitlin Johnson contributed 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists, while sophomore guard Sammy Velasquez chipped in 5 points and 2 assists. Off the bench, Mariah Maestas added 5 points and 5 rebounds.

Despite a strong rebounding night (40 total boards) and gritty defensive play, cold shooting—just 26.5% from the field—ultimately made the difference. Glendale looks to bounce back as they continue non-conference play.
