Glendale closed out its regular season with a tightly contested extra-inning battle, falling 5–4 to LA Valley on April 21 despite several standout performances from the Vaqueros lineup.
After falling behind early, Glendale found a response in the third inning behind Azusena Lopez, who sparked the offense with one of her two hits on the day and later came around to score the game-tying run. Lopez finished 2-for-4, continuing to be a steady presence at the top of the order.
In the circle, Mia Sanchez delivered a strong outing, going all 7 innings while striking out 10 batters. She also contributed offensively, going 2-for-3 at the plate and reaching base three times, helping Glendale generate key opportunities throughout the game.
The Vaqueros' biggest push came in the sixth inning. Annaliese Ruiz reached base multiple times and drove in a run, while also scoring during the rally. Olivia Ziebell-White added a hit and crossed the plate, and Arlene Islas chipped in with a hit and a run scored as Glendale capitalized on defensive miscues to tie the game at 4–4. Mia Jurado provided a crucial sacrifice fly to bring in the tying run, showing situational execution in a high-pressure moment.
Additional contributions came from Catarina Anzalone, who recorded a double as part of Glendale's nine-hit effort, and Jeyslen Orial, who added a hit to keep innings alive.
Despite matching LA Valley with nine hits, Glendale couldn't push across the go-ahead run in the later innings, eventually dropping the decision in extras.
With the loss, Glendale wraps up its regular season at 22–15 overall and 4–8 in conference play. Now, the Vaqueros shift their focus to the postseason picture, waiting to see if their body of work is enough to earn a spot in the playoffs.
