The Glendale College Vaqueros stayed unbeaten with a commanding 14–4 victory over Coalinga on January 24, using a massive 11-run fourth inning to put the game out of reach early.
Glendale struck for two runs in the first and added another in the second before exploding offensively in the fourth, sending the entire lineup through the order and piling on extra-base hits and timely swings. The Vaqueros finished with 15 hits and drove in 13 runs, showcasing depth and power throughout the lineup.
Catarina Anzalone delivered the biggest blow of the day, going 3-for-3 with a home run and a game-high four RBIs, while also scoring twice. Azusena Lopez continued her hot start, finishing 2-for-3 with a double, a home run, and an RBI. Annaliese Ruiz was outstanding at the plate as well, collecting three hits, two runs scored, and an RBI. Anzalone sparked an 11-run fourth inning for Glendale with her first grand slam of the year and that was followed up with a solo shot from Lopez. Anzalone finished with three hits and two runs scored. Lopez also doubled with two runs scored. Ruiz was 3-for-4 at the dish with one double and two runs scored. Sanchez became the second straight starter not to allow a hit, striking out eight batters in four innings of work.
Glendale received key contributions up and down the order. Grace FitzRandolph went 2-for-2, scored twice, and drove in a run, while Olivia Ziebell-White added an RBI double and scored twice. Mia Sanchez chipped in with an RBI and then dominated in the circle, earning the win with four no-hit innings, striking out eight and allowing just one walk.
The Vaqueros improved to 3–0 on the season, continuing to pair explosive offense with strong pitching as they build momentum early in the year.
