The men's squad raced the 8K distance—an increase from their usual 4-mile races—while the women's team stepped up to 6K from their standard 5K. Despite the added distance, both groups handled the challenge with poise and determination.

Leading the way for the men was freshman Andranik Margaryan, who crossed in 26:35. He was followed closely by freshman Sebastian Perez in 27:12 and sophomore Andrew Kazangian in 27:14. Freshman Joseph Juarez added a strong performance at 27:34, and sophomore Evan Ellersieck rounded out the Vaqueros' scoring five with a 28:18 effort.

On the women's side, Elsa Ludena paced the squad with a 25:30.8 finish. Maria Loredo followed in 28:49.2, with Fernanda Barranco close behind at 29:13.4. Ashely Puac (33:35.9) and Scarlet Lastrapes (33:51.9) rounded out the Vaqueros' lineup, showing resilience against a field filled with NCAA and NAIA programs.

Coach Tim Gutierrez praised his athletes' effort and adaptability, noting that the meet offered a chance to test their fitness and mental toughness ahead of the championship stretch of the season. "We knew this would be a step up in both distance and competition, but our athletes embraced the challenge," Gutierrez said. "We're starting to see the pieces come together—our men are finding a strong pack presence, and our women are gaining confidence with every race. If we keep building like this, we'll be ready when it matters most."
