The Glendale College Vaqueros earned a hard-fought 2–1 win over Antelope Valley on Tuesday evening at John Cicuto Stadium, improving their record to 5–4–5 overall and 2–2 in conference play.
Forward Eduard Yeghiazarov delivered another standout performance, scoring both Glendale goals to secure the win. His first came in the 33rd minute with a sharp unassisted finish that gave the Vaqueros the early lead. After Antelope Valley equalized in the second half, Yeghiazarov responded once again in the 77th minute, connecting on a precise pass from Daren Stepanians to put Glendale ahead for good.
The Vaqueros dominated offensively, outshooting Antelope Valley 19–6 and generating seven corner kicks. Arvin Navasartian was steady in goal, making two key saves to preserve the lead, while defenders Erik Amirkhanyan, Michael Malolepszy, and Alejandro Nunez anchored a strong back line. Stepanians also made an impact off the bench, recording an assist and creating several scoring chances.
It was a complete team effort for Glendale, who controlled possession and maintained intensity on both ends to earn an important conference win at home.
