The Glendale College Vaqueros earned a strong 2–0 victory over East Los Angeles on Friday night at Sartoris Field. After a scoreless first half, the Vaqueros came alive in the second half to secure the win and improve their record to 3–1–3.
Forward Armen Kozanian led the offense with an impressive performance, scoring both goals for Glendale. His first came in the 69th minute with an unassisted strike that broke the deadlock. Kozanian added his second goal in the 81st minute, finishing a perfect setup from Michael Malolepszy, who picked up the assist. Malolepszy was active throughout the match, recording two shots on goal and helping control the midfield.
Goalkeeper Arvin Navasartian anchored the defense with a standout performance, making seven saves to earn the clean sheet. Defenders Erik Amirkhanyan, Albert Ghazaryan, and Diego Lopez kept East LA's attack under control, helping limit their scoring chances. Glendale outshot East Los Angeles 14–12 and held strong on both ends of the field.
With solid teamwork, sharp finishing, and disciplined defense, Glendale continued to build momentum in conference play. The Vaqueros will look to carry this winning form into their next match.
