A strong finish by the GCC Men's Golf Team in the Southern California Regionals May 4-5 did not result in the squad advancing to the state tournament as a group but Gavin Loughran did earn a berth at state thanks to his solid play and finished 15^th overall out of 66 players in the field. The GCC team finished in ^th place with only the top five advancing to the state tournament May 11-12 at the Bayonet Golf Course hosted by Modesto College. 

 

"I am incredibly proud of this team. They worked hard on their games and peaked at a good time by first qualifying for regionals at the WSC Finals and then playing so well there,'' said Head Coach Todd Tyni. "Seventh place was our best finish in regionals over the past several years over the 36-hole event.''
