The Glendale College Vaqueros capped off their regular conference home schedule with an impressive 63–13 victory over LA Pierce on Sophomore Night, improving to 5–3 overall and 2–1 in conference play. The Vaqueros set the tone early, scoring touchdowns on their first six drives and showing balance on both sides of the ball.

Quarterback Christian Breazeale led a near-flawless offensive performance, completing 17 of 19 passes for 242 yards and four touchdowns, while also running in another score. Zamondre Merriweather stood out with two touchdown receptions, and Caiou Chatman hauled in five catches for 103 yards and a touchdown. Timothy Johnson also found the end zone through the air, and Alonzo Fuentes-Gutierrez powered the ground game with two rushing touchdowns. Backup quarterback Braden Brimhall came in strong, throwing two more touchdowns to Noah Gomez and Damien Navarro to seal the win.

The defense was just as sharp, limiting Pierce to under 200 total yards. Eddie Azarian had a standout game with a sack and multiple tackles for loss, while Mark Edwards Jr. and Sebastian Herrarte helped contain the run game. Drew Cobos made one of the biggest plays of the night with a 43-yard interception return, and Jose Ruiz added pressure up front with another sack.

Special teams were steady, as Alejandro Pereyra stayed perfect on the day, hitting 9-for-9 extra points and booming several kickoffs for touchbacks.

It was a complete team effort and a memorable night for Glendale's sophomores, who were celebrated for their hard work and leadership in their final regular conference home game.
