Despite coming up short on the scoreboard, Glendale College showcased standout individual performances in a hard-fought matchup against Antelope Valley.

Quarterback Christian Breazeale led the offensive charge, putting up an impressive 257 passing yards and throwing four touchdowns with no interceptions on 13-of-24 passing. He spread the ball efficiently to his playmakers, most notably Caiou Chatman, who erupted for 116 receiving yards and a touchdown on just three receptions, including a back-breaking 58-yard catch. Wideout Zamondre Merriweather added another dynamic dimension to the passing attack with 72 yards and a touchdown, while Timothy Johnson hauled in two passes for 44 yards and a score of his own. Luke Hyan contributed with a reliable presence underneath, grabbing four catches and a touchdown to round out a balanced aerial assault.

On the ground, Breazeale also chipped in 28 rushing yards, while Denim Clark, Traven Thompson, and Alonzo Fuentes-Gutierrez combined for efficient carries to keep the defense honest.

The Vaquero defense was anchored by a phenomenal performance from Nathaniel Deleon, who led all players with 13 solo tackles, flying to the ball on every down. Colin Fahrberger and Eddie Azarian each tallied six total tackles, while Isaac Robinson delivered a momentum-shifting interception and 20-yard return, showcasing his awareness in coverage. The Glendale defense also saw contributions from Alex Juarez, who logged a tackle for loss, a fumble recovery, and four solo tackles, while Garret Staple recorded another key TFL as the front seven held firm in critical moments.

Glendale also remained solid on special teams, with Jeffrey Kavanagh averaging 34.8 yards per punt, landing two inside the 20, and Alejandro Pereyra averaging over 60 yards per kickoff.

While the result didn't favor the Vaqueros, the game was a showcase of Glendale's offensive explosiveness and defensive resilience. With strong performances on both sides of the ball, the team continues to build momentum heading into the heart of the season.
