Glendale College struggled to generate offense on March 20, falling 9–0 to Orange Coast as the Vaqueros were held to just four hits in the contest.
Adonis Jenkins provided one of the few bright spots at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double to lead the offense. Jackson Lyons and Jackson Pratt each added a hit, with Pratt contributing a triple, but Glendale was unable to string together consistent offense and finished the day with 10 strikeouts.
On the mound, John Trainor took the loss, battling through 3.0 innings while striking out two. Tristan Purfoy followed with 3.1 innings of work, and Colby Bette closed out the game, combining to try and limit further damage against a tough Orange Coast lineup.
Despite efforts from the pitching staff, Glendale was unable to slow down Orange Coast, who built an early lead and never looked back. The Vaqueros will look to regroup after a tough outing on both sides of the ball.
