Glendale College delivered an offensive explosion on March 19, defeating Orange Coast 24–8 behind 18 hits and 11 walks in a complete team effort.
The Vaqueros jumped out early with seven runs in the first inning, sparked by a two-run single from Noah Jaquez and a three-run home run from Miguel Villegas. They stayed hot in the second, adding six more runs with home runs from Mike Bang, Villegas, and Blake Demman to take full control.
Villegas led the way with a huge performance, going 3-for-6 with three home runs and eight RBIs. Demman added a home run and three RBIs, while Jackson Lyons contributed two hits, including a triple, and drove in three. Adonis Jenkins had two hits and two RBIs, and Jaquez finished with three RBIs in a strong day at the plate.
Glendale added another six-run inning in the fifth, highlighted by Villegas' third home run. Tanner Teffs reached base consistently and scored three runs, while Adrian Contreras added two hits to keep the offense rolling. Charlie Carafotes and James Harrington also chipped in with RBIs.
On the mound, Michael Guerrero earned the win with three innings of work, while Carson Maymo added three innings with three strikeouts. Conner Cafferty tossed two scoreless innings, and Nate Callaway closed it out.
With five home runs and contributions throughout the lineup, the Vaqueros put together one of their most complete performances of the season.
