The Glendale College Vaqueros battled back from an early deficit to earn an 8–5 victory over LA Pierce on Saturday, improving to 9–2 on the season.

After falling behind 5–2 through three innings, Glendale answered steadily. Jordan Viramontes sparked the offense early with a two-run double in the first inning, finishing the day with two RBIs. In the third, aggressive baserunning helped shift momentum as Adrian Contreras stole third and scored, while Mike Bang also came home during the sequence to trim the deficit to one.

Glendale tied the game in the sixth on a sacrifice fly from Adonis Jenkins, then took control in the seventh. Miguel Villegas delivered an RBI single to give the Vaqueros their first lead of the afternoon, and Jaquez Noah followed with an RBI single of his own to make it 7–5. An eighth-inning wild pitch brought home Jackson Pratt for an insurance run.

Contreras scored twice and reached base three times, while Viramontes, Villegas, Noah, and David Lozano each drove in runs. Glendale made the most of its opportunities, scoring eight runs on eight hits.

On the mound, John Trainor earned the win with four shutout innings of relief, allowing just two hits and striking out three to stabilize the game. Cris Banuelos closed it out with two scoreless innings to record the save.

The Vaqueros' balanced attack and strong bullpen work sealed the comeback victory at home.
