Dr. Tzoler Oukayan is a higher education leader with nearly two decades of experience advancing student success, equity, and engagement. She currently serves as Dean of Student Affairs, where she provides oversight for a wide portfolio of programs including Student Activities, Intercollegiate Athletics, Student Outreach Services, the Multicultural and Community Engagement Center, GCC CARES, the Health Center, Student Equity and Achievement, and the Vaquero Success Center. Her leadership has resulted in transformative initiatives such as expanding dual enrollment programs, launching an Early College Academy in partnership with Glendale Unified School District, and securing over $12 million in grant funding for College Corps through California Volunteers/AmeriCorps.

Her career reflects a steady progression of impact, beginning as a student activities coordinator and advancing through leadership roles in outreach and student services. Dr. Oukayan has  helped built programs that strengthen pathways to higher education, foster student leadership, and expand access to underrepresented communities.

Beyond her administrative role, Dr. Oukayan is an active contributor to professional and community organizations. She has served on statewide boards including the California Community College Student Affairs Association, led initiatives through the California School Employees Association, and provided executive leadership within the Armenian General Benevolent Union and Merdinian Armenian Evangelical School. A proud alumna of GCC, UCLA and USC, where she earned her Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership.
