Ron Arevalo enters his fifth year as a coach for the Lady Vaqueros. Ron is dedicated to help in anyway possible to make our players strive for success, whether on or off the court.
Born in Glendale and raised in Toronto, Canada, Ron is a graduate of Glendale High School and attended Glendale College.
On the court, Ron assists in managing and directing the basketball program. From practice to scouting and game management, he also assists players to adhere to all rules and regulations set forth by the team, college, and NCAA, with the utmost integrity. Ron has developed the unique ability to draw the most out of each player, individually, as well as academically, instilling the need to be a dedicated student and role model. Ron also recruits talented student-athletes, works cooperatively with personnel in the athletics department, attends department meetings and activities, and always represents the college positively when interacting with the community.
Off the court, Ron’s interests include U.S. history, traveling, cooking and baking and being fit. He works part time as a property assistant. His future goals include coaching a NCAA Division 1 program and one day at the professional level.
Ron believes his success stems from his parents and the coaches he’s worked with. His heroes include all the single parents trying to provide for their families.
Ron resides in La Canada.
