Kirk Wagner begins his second year after several years of coaching at the high school and college level and a decorated playing career. He has coached at Campbell Hall during a time of tremendous success for the Vikings and was later the Head Coach at West Adams Prep. He started his coaching career at Manhatten College and helped the team advance to the NCAA Tournament. As a player, Wagner was a junior starter on Muir High School’s CIF Championship team and was named the Pacific League Player of the Year as a senior and All-CIF. He was also a Street & Smith All-American and McDonald’s All-American honorable mention Wagner was later the conference MVP at Pasadena City College and was highly recruited across the nation and signed to play for Roy Williams at Kansas. Wagner has a bachelors degree in communication studies from Kansas and will earn his master’s degree in education in the spring of 2016.
