Five Glendale players scored in double figures led by Jordan Matthews with 19 and Richard Hollinger Jr. with 19 off the bench to lead the Vaqueros to a 91-77 win over Moorpark College Thursday Nov. 9.
GCC, now 2-1 on the season, led 28-77 at the half but heated up with 63 second half points to hand the Raiders their third loss of the season. Glendale shot 13 of 30 from the three point line and 18 of 26 from the free throw stripe to keep Moorpark at bay in the second half.
Serigne Athj added 18 and had a team high five assists. Matthews also led the Vaqs with nine rebounds as starters Chris Daniels had 14 points and Dominic Gully had 13 and hit on three of his six three point attempts. Steven Hubbell added six rebounds, five on the offensive boards.
Glendale hosts L.A. Pierce College Tuesday Nov. 14 at 6 pm in the Verdugo Gym and plays at Pasadena Tuesday Nov. 21 at 5 pm.
